Starship Christmas Lunch

Today we (the zone team) went and cooked Christmas lunch for the family room at Starship children's hospital. The family room is where the parents of critically sick kids stay.

They are in and out due to their kids being very ill that they often do not have time to have a proper meal. We served them a beautiful lunch which consisted of ham, pasta salad, green salad, rolls, fruit salad and two delicious cakes. It was a great morning and it shows how just a small gesture like that can make a real difference to someones life.

A text message from one of the parents "I just wanted to thank you for the amazing lunch you put on today at Starship. Feeling emotionally at a low it was a well received nourishment. Your kindness and compassion has reached me. I thanks you."

Our thoughts are with the parents at the family room
